Delete your CaloriSync data
You can delete individual items or wipe all your data from CaloriSync without deleting your account. This page explains how — and what we keep for legal reasons.
The short version
- Delete individual food logs, weight entries, coach messages, or recipes directly from the app — swipe or tap the trash icon.
- Turn off Kai memory, AI training, or analytics from Profile → Privacy & Data to stop future collection.
- To wipe all your data but keep your account: email support@calorisync.com from your registered address.
- Billing invoices and the consent audit log are retained as required by Indian law — nothing else is kept.
This page describes how to delete some or all of your data with CaloriSync, operated by Valoroid Technology Private Limited, India ("Valoroid", "we", "us"). If you want to delete your account entirely, see Delete your account. See also our Privacy Policy.
1Delete individual items from the app
Most day-to-day deletion happens directly in the app. Every item you can log, you can delete.
- Food logs: on the Diary screen, swipe left on any meal entry and tap Delete.
- Weight entries: Profile → Weight history → swipe left on any entry → Delete.
- Coach conversations with Kai: open Kai → tap the menu icon → Clear chat history.
- Custom recipes: Recipes tab → open the recipe → tap the trash icon.
- Meal plans: open the plan → tap the menu icon → Delete plan.
- Scan results: after a scan, tap Discard to drop the scan without saving anything.
2Stop future data collection
Go to Profile → Privacy & Data. Turn off any of these toggles to stop the associated data collection going forward. Turning a toggle off does not delete data already collected — use the sections above or below for that.
- Let Kai remember our past conversations — when off, coach chats aren't retained across sessions.
- Help improve AI scan accuracy — when off, your scans aren't retained for model improvement.
- Product analytics — when off, we stop collecting anonymized usage events.
- Crash reporting — when off, crash reports aren't sent.
You can also revoke Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health (iOS) permissions from your system settings at any time. When revoked, we stop reading or writing that data immediately.
3Wipe all your data but keep your account
If you want to erase everything you've logged and start fresh — without losing your sign-in, subscription, or Play Store entitlement — email us:
- Email support@calorisync.com from the email address you signed up with.
- Use the subject line: Delete all my data but keep account.
- We verify your identity by matching the sender address against our records.
- We run a full data wipe within 7 days and send you a confirmation. Your account remains active — you'll open the app to a clean slate.
4What gets deleted
When you request a full data wipe, the following is erased permanently:
- Food logs: every meal, portion, and food-log entry.
- Wellness logs: weight entries, water intake, sleep, mood, and other health metrics.
- Recipes: custom recipes.
- AI scan history: scanned photos and detections.
- Kai coach conversations: every message.
- Meal plans: AI-generated plans and shopping lists.
- Voice transcripts: anything you dictated into the app.
- Locally cached data: on-device caches wiped on next sign-in.
Your account credentials, subscription entitlement, profile basics (name, sign-in email/phone), and goal settings are preserved so you can keep using the app.
5What we retain, and why
Only what we are legally required to keep is retained after deletion:
- Consent audit log — record that you gave and withdrew consent, required as regulatory proof under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Billing and tax records — invoices tied to any paid subscription, retained for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law (typically 6–8 years).
- Rolling backups — encrypted backups may contain your deleted data for up to 30 days before rolling off. They are not accessible to product code and are automatically purged.
- Aggregate analytics — anonymized, non-identifying counts that cannot be traced back to you.
6Timeline
- Individual item deletion in the app: immediate.
- Consent toggles: take effect immediately; future collection stops right away.
- Email-request bulk wipe: within 7 days of us verifying your request.
- Backups: up to 30 days for encrypted rolling backups to age out.
- Legally retained records (consent log, billing): as noted above.
